The Magenta Project Volunteer Programme is an exciting opportunity to be a part of our organisation, getting actively involved in supporting our work and making more happen

As a TMP Volunteer you will help to deliver our mission of ‘Accelerating women to the top of sailing’. You will hear first about any opportunities to get involved with our projects and events and any volunteering roles that become available

To become a TMP Volunteer complete our Volunteer Application Form providing us with your contact details, the role(s) you are interested in and a bit of background about yourself

Event and activities roles

If you are interested in our organised activities and events, which may be on-water training and sailing activities or supporting our onshore training and fundraising events, these volunteering roles are for you. Examples of roles include:

  • Event assistants
  • Event social media/communication assistants
  • Event photographers

Your commitment will be time limited, related to a specific activity and event, though may also include some pre and post event planning and delivery 

Once you sign up for an event based role we will send you information whenever we  are running an activity or event and need volunteers. This may only be a couple of times a year initially.

Organisational, fundraising and communication roles

If you are interested in shaping what we do, the way we do things and how we communicate at TMP then apply for an organisational, fundraising or communication role. Examples of roles include:

  • Fundraising Assistant/Manager
  • Social Media Assistant/Manager
  • Journalists/Reporters
  • Photographers
  • Volunteer Manager
  • Book Keeper
  • Office Manager (Virtual)

You will need to be able to make a regular time commitment to supporting our work, though this may vary from a few hours a month to a few hours a week depending on the role

In these roles you will be working with and supporting the TMP Directors and operational team on a regular basis

Specialist advisor/consultant roles

These roles are short-term roles where we currently require specialist support or advice. Examples of roles include:

  • GDPR Advisor
  • Database/CRM Specialist
  • Graphic Designer
  • PR Advisor/Consultant

Our requirements

We are looking for diverse volunteers, female and male and from age 18 upwards (no upper age limit!).  Although TMP governance is mainly UK and USA based, we welcome all nationalities as our activities and events take place around the world. Applicants with disabilities welcomed. You must have a good understanding of spoken and written English

We are small organisation run entirely by volunteers so whatever role you fulfil you must be reliable and able to use your own resources and initiative
